OUR PHILANTROPHY
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the nation's largest donor and volunteer-supported mentoring network. They recruit adult volunteers from the community ("Bigs") and match them with at-risk youth ("Littles") to foster a nurturing and positive relationship in order to assist the littles in achieving their full potential.

Through the mentorship program, we hope that every child in the program is able to achieve:

Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships

Avoidance of risky behaviors

Academic success

Iron Spikes is proud to serve as event facilitators, financial contributors and provide mentors to the Brazos Valley branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

In this past school year, we raised over $3500 for BBBS through a car washes, our Charity Home Run Derby and profit shares.

ACTIVITIES
A large portion of our philanthropy is dedicated to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Brazos Valley. Most of our events and fundraisers are dedicated to raising money for the program. We also have multiple member that participate in the BBBS program.

Apart from that, Iron Spikes is committed to giving back to the community in various other ways. We regularly participate in BUILD, constructing portable medical cabins for communities in less developed countries. We are also involved in The Big Event, road clean-ups, and other ad-hoc service events.
1st annual Iron Spikes x Maggies Home Run Derby
Iron Spikes was proud to partner with Maggies in organizing the first ever Charity Home Run Derby!
All proceeds from the tournament go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Brazos Valley.

ALPHA ZETA CHI X IRON SPIKES CAR WASH
Every semester, Iron Spikes organizes a car wash at Sevick's Service Center on the corner of Harvey Mitchell Parkway (FM 2818) and Longmire Dr in conjunction with Alpha Zeta Chi to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Brazos Valley and the Sexual Assault Resource Center.

Blood Drive
This past semester we had a very successful Blood Drive as we paired with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. We crushed our goal of 20 donations, and we look forward to what the next semester holds.
